Abstract:
A tape conveyance assistance device according to the present invention provides assistance such that, during a loading process in which a carrier tape is loaded into a tape feeder, the carrier tape being formed by adhering a cover tape to an upper surface side of a base tape in which cavities for accommodating components are provided at a constant pitch, the carrier tape is conveyed along a conveyance path of the tape feeder. The tape conveyance assistance device comprises a roller rotatably provided in a biased state so as to move the carrier tape along the conveyance path. A recessed part, which temporarily accommodates the front end of the carrier tape conveyed along the conveyance path during the loading process, is provided in the circumferential surface of the roller.
