Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a target detection device and a target detection method that can detect, with a simple configuration, a target. [Solution] A target detection device 1 comprises a first transmission-signal generating unit 111 for generating a first transmission signal, a second transmission-signal generating unit 121 for generating a second transmission signal, a wave transmission array 10 including a plurality of wave transmission elements 10a for converting the first transmission signal into a transmission wave, a first signal switching unit 113 for supplying the first transmission signal to one of the wave transmission elements 10a in the wave transmission array 10, a second signal switching unit 123 for supplying the second transmission signal to one of the wave transmission elements 10a in the wave transmission array 10, and a control unit 101 for controlling the first signal switching unit 113 to switch the wave transmission element 10a, to which the first transmission signal is supplied, from an element n to an element n+1 and controlling the second signal switching unit 123 to switch the wave transmission element, to which the second transmission signal is supplied, from an element m to an element m+1.
