Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a target information processing method, apparatus and electronic device, capable of receiving an operation command which is initiated by a user for target information and which is used for copying or cutting the target information; said target information and source information of said target information are recorded to a clipboard according to said operation command; when receiving a source information display command initiated by the user for the clipboard, the source information of said target information in the clipboard is displayed according to said source information display command. Compared to the prior art, the source information of the target information may be recorded each time copying or cutting is carried out, allowing a user to view the source of the target information in the clipboard at anytime and anywhere, and when subsequently recording and saving, the target information may be appropriately differentiated according to the source information of the target information, ensuring the accuracy of the information which is subsequently recorded or saved.
