Abstract:
In a video telephone interpretation performed when speakers of different languages talk with each other, it is possible to perform rapid and accurate interpretation without disturbing the speech of a speaker or disturbing the conversation even if an interpreter performs simultaneous interpretation during the speech of the speaker. A telephone communication aid device (10) includes: a head set connection terminal (16) for a person given an interpretation service; a head set connection terminal (17) for a conversation partner; a telephone connection terminal (18); a synthesis circuit (12) for synthesizing the audio signal input from each of the head set connection terminals and outputting the synthesized signal to the telephone connection terminal; a detection circuit (15) for detecting a switching signal from the audio signal input from the telephone connection terminal; and a switching circuit (14) for outputting the audio signal input from the telephone connection terminal to the specified head set connection terminal according to the switching signal detected. By using the device, it is possible to provide a telephone interpretation system (100) for a telephone interpretation service. With telephone interpretation aid devices (20, 30) and a telephone interpretation system (200), it is possible to provide a bi-directional simultaneous interpretation service.
