Abstract:

A television receiver of a bidirectional television system that can provide, under an appropriate management, attribute information of individuals for business companies without the need for the individuals to write, point by point, their attribute information. A television receiver (2) stores therein encrypted personal information received from a key management server (1) (Step S14), and transmits, to the key management server (1), an information disclosure permission signal (32) for disclosing the personal information on a broadcast station-by-broadcast station basis (Step S15). The key management server (1) stores the information disclosure permission signal (32) and transmits a decryption key to each broadcast station (3) (Step S16), which stores therein the decryption key (101) (Step S17). When the television receiver (2) uses an upstream line of the bidirectional television broadcast to transmit the encrypted personal information to the broadcast station (3) (Step S18), the broadcast station (3) uses the decryption key (101) stored in advance to decrypt the received encrypted personal information (Step S19), and associates, with the television receiver (2), and stores the decrypted personal information (102) (Step S20).
