Title:
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLING UNIT AND TEMPERATURE CONTROLLING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/052723
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a temperature controlling unit (X1) which is provided with a holding means (11) for holding a liquid acceptor (40) through contact therewith, a heating block (12) for heating a liquid in the liquid acceptor (40) through contact with the liquid acceptor (40), and a cooling block (13) for cooling the liquid in the liquid acceptor (40) through contact with the liquid acceptor (40). The holding means (11) is capable of maintaining a first temperature for keeping the temperature of the liquid in the liquid acceptor (40) at a target low temperature, the heating block (12) is capable of maintaining a second temperature that is higher than a target high temperature that is higher than the target low temperature, and the cooling block (13) is capable of maintaining a third temperature that is lower than the target low temperature. A temperature control method is also disclosed which includes, for example, the steps of heating the liquid by bringing the heating block (12) into contact with the liquid acceptor (40) that is held by the holding means (11), and cooling the liquid by bringing the cooling block (13) into contact with the liquid acceptor (40)that is held by the holding means (11).
