Abstract:
A temperature estimation method for an electric motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a power conversion device for converting power from an overhead line, an electric motor driven by power supplied from the power conversion device, a current sensor for detecting electric motor current flowing through the electric motor, a rotational speed sensor for detecting the rotational speed of the electric motor, and an outside air temperature sensor for detecting the outside air temperature. The temperature of the electric motor is calculated on the basis of the electric motor current detected by the current sensor, the rotational speed detected by the rotational speed sensor, and the outside air temperature detected by the outside air temperature sensor.
