Abstract:
A tension control device (10) controls the tension of an object to be wound on a winding core, which is a rotating body. The tension control device (10) comprises: a winding diameter distribution acquisition unit (11) acquires the winding core diameter distribution, which represents the diameter of the winding core at each position on the circumference of the winding core about the rotation axis of the winding core; a first compensation amount calculation unit (30) that calculates a first compensation amount, which is obtained by calculation based on the winding core diameter distribution and is used to compensate for tension fluctuations caused by fluctuations in the winding diameter, which is the diameter of a winding body formed by winding the object to be wound on the winding core; a second compensation amount calculation unit (31) that calculates, on the basis of the detection result of the peripheral speed of the object being transported, a second compensation amount which is obtained by calculation based on the winding core diameter distribution and is used to compensate for tension fluctuations caused by variations in the moment of inertia due to the rotation of the winding body; and a torque control unit (33) that controls the torque to rotate the winding core on the basis of the first compensation amount and the second compensation amount.
