Abstract:
A terminal-based question and answer method and apparatus, applied to a terminal device. The method comprises: obtaining query text; on the basis of the query text, determining a query category corresponding to the query text; when the query category is a first query category, retrieving, from a first unstructured database, an answer corresponding to the query text; and when the query category is a second query category, retrieving, from a first structured database, an answer corresponding to the query text, wherein the first unstructured database comprises multiple pairs of question and answer pairs, the first structured database comprises multiple pieces of structured data, and the multiple pairs of question and answer pairs and the multiple pieces of structured data are obtained on the basis of data stored in a terminal device. Query categories of users are identified, and corresponding query steps are executed for different query categories to match corresponding query results for the users, so that terminal-side question and answer is realized.
