The present invention pertains to a terminal device comprising a reception unit for receiving data from a base station device, and a processing unit, wherein: the processing unit retains a first state variable in a UM RLC entity of the terminal device, and performs processing in which, during said retention, an initial value of the first state variable is set to a first value on the basis of data reception from the base station device being one-to-many reception of MBS data, and the initial value of the first state variable is set to 0 on the basis of the data reception from the base station device at least not being one-to-many reception of the MBS data.
