A terminal (2) connects and holds a plurality of wires (3A, 3B) in a vertically aligned state, the wires each having an exposed conductor formed as a result of a conductor (31A, 31B) being exposed from an end section of an insulation coating (32A, 32B) which covers the periphery of the conductor (31A, 31B). The terminal is configured to include the following: a base (21) onto which the plurality of wires (3A, 3B) are placed and held and which is thereby connected to the exposed conductors; and a holding part (22) which holds, in a vertically aligned state, the plurality of wires (3A, 3B) which were placed and held on the base (21). The holding part (22) is provided with a left holding piece (221A) and a right holding piece (221B) which extend upward from the left and right side of the holding part (21) respectively, and the holding part holds the plurality of wires (3A, 3B) from the left and right sides using the left holding piece (221A) and the right holding piece (221B).
