Abstract:
A terminal with video telephone function enabling the user to previously ascertain the transmission video before transmitting the transmission video to prevent a video which the user does not want the user on the receiving side to view from being transmitted by mistake. The terminal comprises video telephone call arrival detecting means (101) for detecting the arrival of a video telephone signal from the communication party and outputting a signal, imaging means (102) which starts imaging an object according to the output signal from the video telephone call arrival detecting means (101), display means (103) for displaying the video of the object imaged by the imaging means (102), transmission start instructing means (104) for outputting a transmission start instruction signal to give an instruction to start transmission of the video displayed on the display means (103), and a video telephone start control manes (105) which receives the transmission start instruction signal outputted from the transmission start instructing means (104) and controls the start of video telephone communication with the communication party.
