Abstract:
The terminal (L-shaped terminal L1) disclosed by this specification is configured such that a terminal body (10) and an electric wire connection section (20) are connected by a bend (30). The bend (30) side of the terminal body (10) is provided with a flange (13) formed so as to protrude radially from the outer surface of the terminal body (10). The dimension of protrusion of the flange (13) from the axis (P) of the terminal body (10) is configured to gradually decrease toward the bend (30). As a result of this configuration, a shape (such as a right-angled shape) in which stress concentrates on one location is not formed on the bend (30) side of the flange (13), and the terminal is shaped such that the flange (13) gradually approaches the axis (P) of the terminal body (10) as the position of the flange (13) approaches the bend (30). Consequently, stress during bending does not concentrate on one location. As a result, the breakage or deformation of the flange (13) at the root thereof is prevented and insert molding is eliminated, thereby reducing manufacturing cost.
