Abstract:
A text selection method and apparatus belonging to the text processing field. The method comprises: in a text to be selected, determining a first display position of a selection start point and a selection end point, wherein the text between the selection start point and the selection end point is a target text, and the target text at least comprises one character (101); dividing the text to be selected into several text blocks according to semantics (102); receiving a dragging operation corresponding to the selection start point or the selection end point (103); and using the text block as a unit, and changing the first display position of the selection start point or the selection end point into a second display position according to the dragging operation (104). The method solves the problem of inaccurate target text selection caused by inaccurate user operation because a display position of a selection point is determined only according to a user operation in the relevant art, and achieves the effects of making the content of a selected target text conform to semantics and being more accurate by means of using a text block, divided according to semantics, as a unit to change the selected target text.
