A theft prevention device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a means for acquiring first event information related to an alert mode; a means for controlling the alert mode in accordance with the first event information; a means for monitoring the movement of an object if the alert mode is active; and a means for outputting an alarm if the alert mode is active and movement of the object was detected.
