Abstract:
A vending machine having a housing (11) with an internal cavity and an article storage compartment (12). The compartment (12) has a cooling unit (16) for cooling the articles in the compartment (12). The compartment (12) is subdivided into a plurality of sub-compartments (72). There is at least one of a first-type of thermal separator (4, 6) at one of the sub-compartments (72) to thermally separate the interior of the sub-compartment (72). The first-type of thermal separator (4, 6) has a structure that operates individually with respective ones of the sub-compartments (72).
