Abstract:
A composition contains a continuous phase called sea phase and discrete, isolated dispersed domains in and surrounded by the continuous phase called island phase. The continuous phase contains thermal conductive filler and the isolated phase works to concentrate the fillers in the continuous phase. The sea phase polymer has a lower melt viscosity at processing temperatures than does the island phase polymer. A polymer composite material formed from the composition has high thermal conductivity with good properties of polymer material suitable for a thermal management component.
