In this invention, a thermal insulation structure for a low-temperature fluid tank is formed by a construction method comprising a step of installing an elastic spacer 2 on the outside of the tank so as to divide a tank outer wall 1 into a plurality of compartments X, and a step of filling at least the compartments X with a spray urethane foam 4a.
