Abstract:
A thermal recording material comprising a substrate and formed thereon a thermal recording layer comprising a leuco dye, a color developer, a sensitizer, and an adhesive, wherein the color developer comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-m-aminophenol and N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-p-aminophenol and the sensitizer comprises (a) at least one member selected from the group consisting of 1,2-diphenoxyethane, 1,2-di(3-methylphenoxy)ethane, 2-naphthyl benzyl ether, and di-p-methylbenzyl oxalate and (b) a higher fatty acid amide such as stearamide.
