Abstract:
This thermal transfer sheet is for use in an intermediate transfer recording system in which an image is formed by performing a primary transfer from the thermal transfer sheet to an intermediate transfer medium, and thereafter, an image is formed on a transfer object by performing a secondary transfer to the transfer object. The thermal transfer sheet has, on a base material, a masking layer which is a portion not to be transferred to the transfer object during the secondary transfer. A resin for forming the masking layer has a Tg of 140-220℃. The masking layer contains filler particles in an amount of 0.5-20% in terms of the weight proportion with respect to the resin.
