Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a thermochromic color memorizing composition, which effectively exhibits a capability of alternately memorizing and holding colors and is applicable to various fields, and a thermochromic color memorizing microcapsule pigment enclosing the same. [Solution] A thermochromic color memorizing composition which comprises (a) an electron-donating and color-developing organic compound, (b) an electron-receiving compound, and (c) an ester compound represented by formula (1) or formula (2), said ester compound serving as a reaction medium controlling a color-developing reaction between the components (a) and (b), and a thermochromic color memorizing microcapsule pigment enclosing the thermochromic color memorizing composition. [In formula (1): R1's independently represent a cycloalkyl group having 3-8 carbon atoms or a cycloalkylalkyl group having 4-9 carbon atoms; ad n1's independently represent an integer of 1-3] and [in formula (2): R2 represents an alkyl group having 3-17 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3-8 carbon atoms or a cycloalkylalkyl group having 5-8 carbon atoms; X represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, a methoxy group, an ethoxy group or a halogen atom; and n2 represents an integer of 1-3].
