Abstract:
A thermoelectric conversion element 1a comprises a substrate 10 and thermoelectric conversion bodies 21. The thermoelectric conversion bodies 21 are disposed on the substrate 10. The thermoelectric conversion element 1a satisfies condition (I) below, condition (II) below, or both conditions (I) and (II) below. (I) The value td/λd obtained by dividing the thickness td of the thermoelectric conversion element 1a in the thickness direction of the substrate 10 by the thermal conductivity λd of the thermoelectric conversion element 1a in the thickness direction of the substrate 10 is 9×10-4 m2KW-1 or less. (II) The value EI/Wd obtained by dividing the flexural rigidity EI of the thermoelectric conversion element 1a by the width Wd of the thermoelectric conversion element 1a is 3×10-6 Pa·m4/mm or less.
