Abstract:
A thermoplastic polyester resin having as the main structure unit a residue yielded from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an ester-forming derivative thereof and a diol or an ester-forming derivative thereof, the thermoplastic polyester resin having a hydroxyl group concentration of 0.050 mmol/g or lower. Using the thermoplastic polyester resin allows a shaped article to be obtained, having excellent mechanical physical properties and thermal resistance, and further, reducing the dielectric tangent in high frequencies of 1 GHz or higher.
