Abstract:
In a thermoplastic polyurethane-coated yarn having hydrophobic nano-silica blended therein according to the present invention, the surface of a core yarn is uniformly coated with the thermoplastic polyurethane resin containing hydrophobic functional group-bearing nano-silica. Accordingly, the product is excellent in terms of quality and productivity because eccentricity to one side or coating deficiency is not generated in the core yarn, whereby the yarn is provided with the excellent durability and abrasion resistance of the thermoplastic polyurethane while exhibiting improved mechanical strength and chemical resistance.
