Title:
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN-COATED METAL PLATE AND CAN BODY AND CAN LID MADE FROM SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/203857
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention relates to a thermoplastic resin-coated metal plate formed by applying a thermoplastic resin coating to at least one surface of a metal plate with a polyester-based primer therebetween. As a 10μm-thick dry primary sheet, the polyester-based primer has a 9-200% elongation at break at a tensile rate of 1000mm/minute, and has a 3-40% MEK extraction rate, and therefore, when used in forming a can body and can lid, it is possible to provide, without using a special thermoplastic resin coating or surface-treated metal plate, a dent resistant and economical can body and can lid which also have excellent processing adhesion by which it is possible to prevent the body from breaking during formation and to prevent separation of the thermoplastic resin coating on the flange-forming portion.
