Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a thermoplastic resin composition having an excellent balance among mechanical properties, heat resistance, flowability, platability, durability, plated-molded-article appearance, etc.; and a molded article. The thermoplastic resin composition for plated molded articles is characterized by consisting substantially of a polycarbonate resin (I), a graft copolymer (II) obtained by graft-copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising an aromatic vinyl compound monomer and a vinyl cyanide monomer in the presence of a diene-based rubbery polymer, a vinyl-based copolymer (III) obtained by copolymerizing at least an aromatic vinyl compound monomer and a vinyl cyanide monomer, and a methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer (IV), the contents of the polycarbonate resin (I), graft copolymer (II), vinyl-based copolymer (III), and methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer (IV) being 50-70 wt%, 10-30 wt%, 5-20 wt%, and 1-10 wt%, respectively, per 100 wt% the sum of the contents of the polycarbonate resin (I), graft copolymer (II), vinyl-based copolymer (III), and methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer (IV), and the content of the methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer (IV) being 3-20 wt% per 100 wt% the polycarbonate resin (I).
