Abstract:
The lid of a disc case can be opened or closed by use of one hand (finger) in a state where the disc case is laid level. Furthermore, this is a thin type disc case which has a thin case, can be produced at a low cost and can be used as a packaging case when a disc is sold. In a case having a holding mechanism (14), in which a lid portion (8) can be opened from or closed to a main body portion (7) on a connecting portion (3) and a part of the main body portion (7) and a part of the lid portion (8) are engaged with each other to thereby hold the closed state of the lid portion (8), a disc housing portion (5) is formed in the main body portion (7) and/or the lid portion (8), the principal portion (1) of the main body portion, the connecting portion (3) and the principal portion (2) of the lid are formed of synthetic resin integrally with one another such that a resilient force is given by the connecting portion (3) in a direction, in which the lid portion (8) is opened from the main body portion (7), an opening button (20) is provided on the top surface of the main body portion (7), the above-described holding mechanism (14) can be released through the operation of the opening button (20), and a plurality of holding mechanisms (14) are provided.
