Abstract:

A thin rubber member producing method applicable for various sizes and capable of producing a thin rubber member of fixed thickness. In the first step, a long-sized sheet-like rubber strip formed with tapered portions in the widthwise opposite ends is cut into fixed lengths to thereby form a plurality of oblong rubber strips (36). In the second step, the tapered portions (36B) in the widthwise ends are superposed to widthwise connect the plurality of oblong rubber strips (36), thereby forming a rubber sheet (38) of large area with all end edges tapered. By changing the length and the number of oblong rubber strips (36) to be connected, rubber sheets (38) of various sizes are obtained.
