Abstract:
A three-cycle natural gas liquefaction apparatus and method suitable for ultra-large scale. The apparatus comprises a natural gas liquefaction pipeline, a propane precooling cycle system, a WMR refrigeration cycle system, and a CMR refrigeration cycle system. This apparatus is based on three cycles for sharing the refrigeration load of each stage. Natural gas is cooled by one plate-fin heat exchanger and two coil-wound heat exchangers in sequence until being liquefied and supercooled; the cooling capacity required by the liquefaction process is provided by three systems, i.e., propane, a WMR mixed refrigerant, and a CMR mixed refrigerant; therefore, system adjustment means are abundant, the quantity of process equipment is small, and the production scale is large.
