Abstract:
The present invention relates to a three-dimensional character substitution system and method. Provided are a three-dimensional character substitution system and an operation method thereof, the system comprising: a modeling data storage unit for storing modeling data of a three-dimensional character; a character information extraction unit for receiving a content image, which is two-dimensionally rendered from three-dimensional content, and identifying character information comprising the location information of the character in the received content image; a character area removal unit for identifying and removing a character area in the content image; a character image generation unit for generating a two-dimensional image with respect to the removed character area, by controlling and rendering the modeling data of the three-dimensional character on the basis of the character information; and synthesizing and outputting the generated two-dimensional image and the content image.
