Abstract:
In this three-dimensional data encoding method, a plurality of encoded point groups are subjected (S12801) to motion compensation, a reference point group is generated (S12802) by combining the plurality of encoded point groups that have been subjected to motion compensation, an N-branched tree structure (where N is an integer greater than or equal to 2) of a target point group is generated (S12803), and the N-branched tree structure of the target point group is encoded (S12804) using the reference point group. For example, during the encoding (S12804) of the N-branched tree structure of the target point group, the reference point group is subjected to motion compensation with regard to the target point group, an N-branched tree structure of the reference point group that has been subjected to motion compensation is generated, and the N-branched tree structure of the target point group is encoded using the N-branched tree structure of the reference point group.
