Abstract:
A three-dimensional display device (2) comprises a display panel (6), a shutter panel (7), an acquisition unit (4), and a controller (8). The display panel (6) includes a plurality of sub-pixels P. The plurality of sub-pixels P display a parallax image. The parallax image contains a first image and a second image having parallax therebetween. The shutter panel (7) defines a light beam direction of image light of the parallax image. The image light is emitted from the display panel (6). The acquisition unit (4) is configured so as to acquire the illuminance of the surrounding environment of an image viewed by a user. The controller (8) is configured to be able to determine a pupil diameter DP of a user on the basis of the illuminance. The controller (8) is configured to be able to control the display panel (6) and/or the shutter panel (7) on the basis of the pupil diameter DP.
