Abstract:
A three-dimensional image display system (100) wherein a server (101) and a client (102) cooperate and provide three-dimensional image display. The server (101) comprises: a server memory (105) that stores vertex information indicating vertex positions for a polygon forming a three-dimensional shape; a valid polygon determination unit (110) that converts the vertex information stored in the server memory (105) into different coordinate systems, determines whether or not the polygon is the displayed polygon, on the basis of converted vertex information and viewpoint information (118) sent from the client (102), and generates valid vertex information (119) indicating whether or not the vertices are valid for drawing, relative to the displayed polygon and the determined polygon; and a server communications unit (108) that sends the valid vertex information (119) to the client (102). The client (102) comprises: a client memory (112) that stores vertex information indicating the vertex positions for a polygon having a three-dimensional shape; a client communications unit (116) that sends the viewpoint information (118) to the server (101), and receives the valid vertex information (119) from the server (101); and a polygon drawing unit that reads the vertex information stored in the client memory (112), converts same to a different coordinate system, and generates a three-dimensional image, only for valid vertices from the valid vertex information (119).
