Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a three-dimensional image pickup device whereby detection of a spectral image and resolution in three dimensions of a subject can be realized simultaneously by a simple structure. [Solution] This three-dimensional image pickup device comprises: a light source that sweeps the frequency of light or the amplitude-modulated frequency of light to supply illumination light for illuminating a subject; an optical interferometer that multiplexes reference light and reflected light from the subject to generate an interference fringe; a two-dimensional detection mechanism that detects the interference fringe as an electrical signal in a two-dimensional position through use of any of a two-dimensional array of light-receiving elements, a combination of a one-dimensional array of light-receiving elements and one-dimensional scanning, and a combination of a simple light-receiving element and one-dimensional scanning; and an optical path difference calculation means that calculates, for each pixel in three dimensions, the optical path difference between the reflected light and the reference light in a two-dimensional detection position of the two-dimensional detection mechanism, the subject being resolved in three dimensions by processing using the interference fringe and optical path difference information.
