Abstract:
In the three-dimensional image processing device relating to one embodiment of the present invention, a histogram of the distance distribution from a three-dimensional image to a subject is created, and compared to patterns of distance distribution. In the event of a determination that the histogram approximates a "pattern of distance distribution suited to three-dimensional imaging", a suggested parallax adjustment value, which has been set for the distance distribution pattern in question, is set as the parallax adjustment value. Additionally, the user can set the parallax adjustment value manually, and the amount of parallax can be learned. In the event of a determination that the created histogram "does not approximate a pattern suited to three-dimensional imaging", a parallax adjustment value can be set so that the parallax of the focal subject is zero.
