Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce the load required for texture processing when displaying three-dimensional maps. [Solution] Texture for a three-dimensional model is applied to each surface of the three-dimensional model and a projected image obtained by parallel projection is saved as a composite texture. When displaying three-dimensional maps, a three-dimensional model is arranged in a virtual three-dimensional space, same is projected in a parallel projection direction (PRJ1) and the opposite direction thereto (PRJ2), and a composite texture is applied to the surface of the three-dimensional model. Perspective projection, etc., is performed on this three-dimensional model and a three-dimensional map is displayed. As a result, an exterior displayed using a plurality of texture layers can be displayed using one composite texture and the resolution of the texture itself can be reduced in the composite texture generation process, therefore the texture processing load during display of three-dimensional maps can be reduced.
