Abstract:
The present invention relates to a three-dimensional pointing system for supporting remote collaborative treatment. More particularly, the three-dimensional pointing system comprises: a first HMD which is worn by an operating surgeon at an actual surgical site and includes a camera for capturing images of a gaze area and a surrounding area of the operating surgeon wearing the first HMD, and a display unit for outputting real-time images captured by the camera; a second HMD which is worn by a collaborative physician who is located remotely from the operating surgeon, receives and outputs the real-time images, and generates a virtual line and a three-dimensional pointer in the real-time images according to a received control signal; a pointing movement means which generates a control signal corresponding to control of the location of the collaborative physician and moves the three-dimensional pointer in a depth direction along the virtual line; and a remote collaborative treatment support server which selects an affected segment region of a patient located at the shortest distance from the three-dimensional pointer, and displays the affected segment region on the real-time images of the first HMD and the second HMD.
