Abstract:
The three-level topology-based energy storage device for rail transportation comprises a pre-charging circuit, a neutral point potential clamping circuit, a supercapacitor Cap, and n bidirectional DC/DC current conversion branch circuits. The neutral point potential clamping circuit consists of capacitors C1 and C2. The bidirectional DC/DC current conversion branch circuits consist of four IGBT devices V1, V2, V3, and V4, and a reactor L1. A connection point of V1 and V2 and a connection point of V3 and V4 are connected to two input terminals of the reactor L1, respectively, and two output terminals of L1 are connected to two terminals of the supercapacitor Cap, respectively. A control method for absorbing and reusing braking energy comprises: a) detecting a voltage; b) comparing the voltage; c) processing for an outer voltage loop; d) processing for a closed current loop; e) adjusting a neutral point potential; and f) generating a drive signal. The three-level topology-based energy storage device and the control method achieve braking energy reuse, and address the problem of an excessive voltage decrease of a power grid caused by starting of a train, thereby providing a significant beneficial effect, and being suitable for applications and promotion.
