Abstract:
Provided is a throttle valve opening detection apparatus that can be easily installed in various types of vehicles, exhibits excellent operation durability, and can immediately measure the occurrence of sudden acceleration incidents of the vehicles. A throttle valve opening detection apparatus, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a ring-shaped fixing member that includes a rigid body having a resilient force and an outer cover formed of an insulating material on the outer surface of the rigid body to surround the rigid body, wherein the fixing member is formed to be open at one portion thereof, is configured such that the diameter thereof changes depending on a an external force, and is attached to the inner surface of a throttle body while applying a pressure thereto so as to be fixed to the inner surface of the throttle body; a contact member formed to have a resilient force, one end of which is coupled to the fixing member and the other end of which is separated from the valve body of a throttle valve when the throttle valve installed in the throttle body is not opened and is brought into contact with the valve body when the throttle valve is opened; and a conductive line connected to the contact member to apply a switching voltage to a processor when the valve body and the contact member make contact with each other, wherein the processor controls to stop the driving of an engine when sudden acceleration of a vehicle occurs.
