Abstract:
A throwaway container recovery apparatus capable of recovering and storing throwaway containers, such as paper cups or containers for precooked food. This recovery apparatus includes a hollow columnar housing having a container inserting port in an outer wall thereof; a container support which is provided on the inner side of the container inserting port so that the support can be moved slidingly, and which is capable of supporting thereon a plurality of inserted containers in a stacked state; a container stacking means having a means for resiliently urging and retaining this support toward the container inserting port; a locking and retaining means having a locking member which has a diameter smaller than a maximum diameter of the containers, and which is adapted to be engaged from the outside with a predetermined portion of a container finally stacked on the support, so as to prevent the same container from coming off toward the container inserting port; and an engagement releasing means for releasing the engaged condition of the locking member and enabling the stacked containers to be recovered. This enables a comparatively large quantity of throwaway containers to be stacked and recovered easily.
