Abstract:

When a short arises during a first start period in this TIG welding method, the first start period is extended and held until an arc is reproduced. After the arc has been reproduced, it is possible to prevent welding defects from arising without unnecessary consumption and loss of the TIG electrode by continuing the start waveform output.
