Abstract:
A time synchronization system according to the present invention includes a master station (100) and a plurality of slave stations (200) communicatively connected to the master station (100). The master station (100) comprises a contention determining unit (114) and a time synchronization frame processing unit (113). On the basis of reception timings of first time synchronization frames transmitted from the respective ones of the plurality of slave stations (200), the contention determining unit (114) determines whether there is a possibility of any ones of the first time synchronization frames having contended with each other in a relay process. When the contention determining unit (114) determines that there is a possibility of some ones of the first time synchronization frames having contended with each other, the time synchronization frame processing unit (113) discards, out of those some first time synchronization frames possibly having contended with each other, the first time synchronization frame(s) received later.
