Abstract:

Provided is a time-to-digital converter, comprising a delay unit, a first sampling unit and a second sampling unit, wherein the delay unit is connected to the first sampling unit and is used for receiving a first clock signal and delaying the first clock signal; the first sampling unit is used for sampling the first clock signal to generate a first phase signal, so that a first phase lock module adjusts the frequency of the first clock signal; the delay unit is also connected to the second sampling unit and is used for receiving the first frequency-adjusted clock signal and delaying the first frequency-adjusted clock signal; and the second sampling unit is used for sampling the frequency-adjusted first clock signal to generate a second phase signal, so that the first phase lock module adjusts the phase of the first clock signal. Also disclosed are a frequency tracking device and method. By means of the present invention, the dual-loop frequency tracking effect can be achieved using one digital time converter, thereby reducing the occupation area of a dual-loop frequency tracking system.
