Abstract:
A monitoring unit serving as this tire air-pressure monitoring device comprises: an acquisition section that acquire air pressure data for a plurality of tires mounted on a vehicle; a calculation section that, on the basis of the air pressure data, calculates first representative values relating to the air pressures of the tires in a first period, calculates second representative values relating to the air pressures of the tires in a second period that is longer than the first period, and calculates a degree of reduction in the first representative value relative to the second representative value for each tire; and a determination section that, if the degree of reduction for one tire is at least a first threshold value and the degree of reduction for a tire other than the one tire is less than the first threshold value, determines that there has been a decrease in air pressure.
