Abstract:
Provided is a tire air-pressure-monitoring system with which it is possible to suppress the power consumed by detection devices and to monitor the air pressure of tires even when stationary. The tire air-pressure-monitoring system is equipped with: a plurality of detection devices (2) provided to a plurality of tires (3) of a vehicle (C), the detection devices (2) wirelessly transmitting an air pressure signal including an identifier for the respective detection device (2); and a monitoring device (1) for receiving the air pressure signals and monitoring the air pressure in each of the tires (3). The monitoring device (1) is capable of transmitting, to a plurality of tire locations, a request signal for requesting air pressure information at a required timing. The detection devices (2) are provided with: a request signal reception unit for receiving the request signal; a rotation state measurement unit for measuring the rotation state of the tire to which the respective detection device (2) is provided; a first air pressure signal transmission unit for autonomously transmitting an air pressure signal when rotation of the tire (3) has been measured; and a second air pressure signal transmission unit for transmitting an air pressure signal, irrespective of the rotation state of the tire (3), when a request signal is received.
