Abstract:
A tire-forming drum (10) which is for use in forming a large-sized green tire. The tire-forming drum (10) comprises a cylindrical drum main body (12) that has an outer peripheral surface (14), the diameter of which can be increased and reduced, and a coating film (16) formed on the outer peripheral surface of the drum main body. The coating film (16) includes a silicone layer (26) which defines the surface of the coating film (16) and which has a surface roughness Ra of 10 μm or greater. According to the tire-forming drum (10), application of stearic acid to the surface is unnecessary when separating the green tire therefrom.
