Abstract:
Transparent images of a tire in which a steel chafer is provided in a bead part are captured. By using a space filter created in correspondence with the inclination of a wire material of the steel chafer, an inspection device creates an image in which the steel chafer part has been extracted from images captured over the circumference of the tire, and detects the path of the outside edge of the steel chafer and the path of the inside edge thereof. Further, from the captured images, an image in which the steel chafer part has been removed is created. From this image, the path of the turn-up edge of a carcass is detected. On the basis of the path of the turn-up edge of the carcass, the inspection device determines whether the arrangement of the carcass is appropriate or not.
