Abstract:
Disclosed is a tire which is constructed by joining multiple tire skeleton members formed from a thermoplastic material and which ensures ample strength at the seam. Two tire halves (17A) formed from a first thermoplastic material are abutted facing each other and are supported by a tire support part (40). While rotating said tire halves (17A), a molten welding thermoplastic material (43) is extruded towards the seam from a nozzle (46) of an extruder, and a smoothing roller (48) presses the welding thermoplastic material (43). As a result, one tire half (17A) is welded to the other tire half (17A) by the welding thermoplastic material (43). The tire halves (17A) themselves are not melted in the joining thereof, and so degradation of the thermoplastic material forming the tire halves (17A) is suppressed, and ample strength is ensured at the seam.
