Abstract:
Provided is a tire rubber composition that exhibits wet grip performance and low rolling resistance improved over conventional levels, while maintaining or improving mechanical characteristics such as the tensile stress, tensile strength at break, and tensile elongation at break. The tire rubber composition is obtained by blending, into a sulfur-vulcanizable rubber, a microparticle composite comprising the solid component of a mixture comprising a rubber latex and an emulsion of organic microparticles, and is characterized in that: the emulsion of organic microparticles is an emulsion that contains microparticles obtained by polymerizing and/or crosslinking in water, simultaneously or stepwise, at least one species selected from the group consisting of polymerizable monomers, and oligomers, prepolymers and polymers having a reactive functional group and a molecular weight of 500 to 50,000; and the average particle diameter of the microparticles is 0.001 to 100 μm.
