Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a tire tread rubber composition having exceptional processability and offering exceptional wet grip performance, rolling characteristics, and wear resistance performance in tires produced therefrom; and a pneumatic tire in which said tire tread rubber composition is used. This tire tread rubber composition comprises a diene rubber, silica, a silane coupling agent, and an aromatic modified terpene resin having a softening point of 60 to 150°C. The tire tread rubber composition has a silica content of 50 to 150 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber, and a silane coupling agent content of 2 to 20 mass% relative to the silica content. The diene rubber includes a specific modified conjugated diene polymer and a specific conjugated diene rubber, the specific modified conjugated diene polymer content of the diene rubber being 10 to 50 mass%, and the specific conjugated diene rubber polymer content of the diene rubber being 50 to 90 mass%.
